Excerpts

Dr. Abigail Eliot: The younger they are the more sensitively they respond.
I love this because so many people forget to be gentle with children of all ages.

Lev Vygtosky: In play, a child is always above his average age, above his daily behavior: in play, it is as though he were a head taller than himself.

Meaningful Quote

Jean-Jacques Rousseau said that "The training of children is a profession, where we must waste time in order to save it." I agree with this statement because at first sight we don't know everything about that particular child therefore if we as educators would just take a moment and take a step back we may be able to better serve our future on an individual scale. Taking time out with children is important while they are still willing to listen and be taught. We must seize every opportunity to educate!

One of my Favorite Children Books!

I Can Read With my Eyes Shut! by Dr. Seuss is just one of my favorites. I love this book because every time I read it every child always says "No you can't read with your eyes shut!" This is a book that encourages its readers to continue reading which is an important message. It lets children know that with your eyes closed you'll miss out on a lot but if you keep them wide open there are innumerable things they can learn.

Trial Entry

I am new to blogging but I am interested in this new task for me. I love children and I truly believe in giving every child a chance.
