I am new to blogging but I am interested in this new task for me. I love children and I truly believe in giving every child a chance.

Personal Childhood Web

Ruby McGowan-Mother-A divorced, single mother of five children, grandmother of 8 and compassionate to all. Fun loving, God fearing, disciplinarian, woman who loves children. My mother as influenced my life in several ways. She taught me how to love, live, and laugh. My mother put the fear of God in me, taught me how to be respectable, and to respect myself as a female. As a child my mother influenced me greatly by making education a number one priority. My mother cared for me by always making sure I was clean, fed, happy, and healthy. I was nurtured by my mother by her taking care of me when I was sick and loving me beyond infinity. My mother made me feel special because she was always, always, always there. My mother embedded education in me and it is still something I hold dear to me.

Mrs. Newton-Caregiver- A loving kind little old lady. She influenced my life as a child by teaching me how to study and stick to my tasks no matter how tough they get. I was nurtured by Mrs. Newton when she would feed and bathe me. She cared for me by picking me up for school, taking care of me after school, and having me attend church with her. Mrs. Newton made me feel special because she treated me like her little princess. The study habits I have today are all owed to Mrs. Newton and I thank her.

Rundell McGowan Jr.-Brother-A quick witted, strong, confident father of 4. Jr influenced my life as a child by teaching me never to run from a challenge but to hit them head on with all I have. I was nurtured by my brother when he would "doctor" on me when I had a bo-bo or had hurt feelings from some odd reason. He would care for me by cooking while teaching me how to do the same, picking out and ironing my school clothes, and giving me confidence for each day. My brother made me feel special by taking time for his little sister and never ignoring me. His influence continues to affect me because thanks to him I never ever run from a challenge.

I chose these three people for my childhood web because they made the biggest impact on my life as a child. As the saying goes "it takes a village to raise a child" through my experiences this has been true. There were numerous people in my childhood to help me to shape into the person I am today. I am grateful to them all and indebted to them forever.
